On sunday, once You Arrive...

Feel free to park in either the convenient parking garage or the lot in front of the campus. Come to Building 1 and there you'll be greeted by some of our friendly greeters.  It's their job to answer any questions you might have or help you find what you are looking for. As you enter the actual lobby you’ll find our Welcome Center right there for more helpful info. Feel free to stop by and pick up free information about the many cool programs and outreach projects we've got going. Right next to the Welcome Center is our auditorium where our worship services happen.

Our children’s wing and check in areas are easy to find right off of the lobby. The children's area consists of three areas:
  • Nursery ”Baby Steps” (Room 101, 1st Floor) ages birth-two
  • Preschool “Lil' K” (Room 102, 1st Floor) ages two-5
  • Elementary Kids' Program (Rooms 108 & 109, 1st Floor) for grades K-5th

Walk down either hall of our Children's area you'll see our Children's Check in with kiosks. As you check your child in, he/she will be assigned a number which you will also receive and then give back when you pick up your child at the end of the service. This same number will flash on the screen in the adult service should your child need you or if we can’t make them comfortable.

Next to the Welcome Center you will find the entrance to the main auditorium.  Just outside the auditorium a friendly face will hand you a program that corresponds to the day and a pen or a Bible if you need one.

Once you're in your seat you’ll notice a stage area up front. The big screen will probably be playing some funny video countdown which lets everyone know that the service is about to begin. You’ll also be hearing upbeat music and notice that most of the folks who have come today are dressed casually for comfort… lots of jeans! You can expect us to sing upbeat (and a few reflective) songs with the words projected on the big screen. You’ll also enjoy movie clips, original videos, and short sketches that help introduce the morning message which lasts about 25-30 minutes and promises to be both understandable and helpful for your spiritual journey.

At some point in the service trays of bread and small cups of grape juice will be passed down the rows of seats. This part of the service is called Communion or The Lord’s Supper. Someone up front will lead our participation during this time. If you don’t understand what is happening or if you feel uncomfortable just pass the tray to the person sitting next to you and use this time to pray or simply be still before God.

Our service usually concludes with cool videos and announcements related to upcoming events or opportunities. We believe that God does some of His greatest work between Sundays and we encourage people to get involved in a variety of different ways. During this time offering plates will be passed and then a closing song will signal that the service is over. The entire service lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes but you’ll have such a good time you won’t even look at your watch!

If, during the service, you found time to fill out a Crossing Card (located at the bottom of the teaching outline inside the program) take it to our Welcome Center and exchange it for a free gift from us. It’s our way of saying, “Thanks for coming to Journey’s Crossing and please come again.”
